About The Position

Responsible for clerical functions and administrative support of food service programs. This role involves managing the day-to-day execution of Spartan Dining’s digital presence, including social media content creation, scheduling and engagement; website updates; digital signage; mobile messaging; newsletters; and other student-facing communications. It also supports the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of dining events, activations, tabling opportunities, orientations, and promotions. The position requires developing engaging photo, video, graphic, and written content that promotes dining locations, programs, events, meal plans, culinary experiences, and associates while maintaining brand standards. Additionally, the role involves working closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and maintain marketing calendars, campaign plans, promotional schedules, and project timelines, and building relationships with students, dining operations, culinary teams, campus departments, student organizations, vendors, and other partners to increase student awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of Spartan Dining’s digital presence, including social media content creation, scheduling and engagement; website updates; digital signage; mobile messaging; newsletters; and other student-facing communications.
  • Support the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of dining events, activations, tabling opportunities, orientations, promotions, and campus partnerships.
  • Develop engaging photo, video, graphic, and written content that promotes dining locations, programs, events, meal plans, culinary experiences, and associates.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and maintain marketing calendars, campaign plans, promotional schedules, and project timelines.
  • Build relationships with students, dining operations, culinary teams, campus departments, student organizations, vendors, and other partners.
  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client centric manner.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files.
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and up to date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
  • Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using computer.
  • Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
  • Assist in preparation of end of month financial reports.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
