Marketing Account Executive
About The Position
Georges Media Group is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Account Executive for Shreveport, Bossier City and the surrounding Northwestern Louisiana region; to drive growth through new client acquisition and account growth under our local brand, the Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate. This role is designed for a competitive, results-oriented sales professional who thrives on prospecting, opening doors, and closing new business. This position is focused on new business development and client acquisition and will build a client list over time. The ideal candidate is laser-focused on identifying untapped opportunities, understanding client goals, and delivering integrated advertising solutions that move the needle. This position plays a critical role in expanding our advertiser base and introducing new clients to The Advocate’s full portfolio of trusted print and cutting-edge digital products. The Account Executive will be able to sell Georges Media Group’s full suite of print publications, digital marketing tactics, digital out-of-home, and event sponsorships.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience required.
- Strong understanding of today’s marketing/advertising ecosystem, including both traditional and digital media.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage time, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
Nice To Haves
- Previous media / advertising sales experience strongly preferred.
- Experience selling digital marketing strategies, including SEM, SEO, social media, OTT/CTV, or programmatic advertising is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new advertising clients through strategic outreach, networking, and market research.
- Discover client objectives and develop customized advertising solutions using our full suite of print and digital offerings.
- Present and sell cross-platform campaigns including print, SEM, SEO, social media, OTT/CTV, targeted display, Amazon advertising solutions, and more.
- Stay current on emerging media trends and confidently position digital-first and integrated strategies to new advertisers.
- Successfully convert advertising dollars from competitive media by articulating the value, reach, and ROI of The Advocate’s solutions.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with new clients by delivering results, insight, and exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and activity reporting while providing insight into market trends and competitive activity.
- Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and industry events to sharpen sales skills and stay ahead of evolving advertising solutions.
