About The Position

Manage all activities related to the shipping, receiving and distribution of items in the central warehouse. This includes managing staff, training, inventory control, and ensuring a safe working environment. The role also involves assisting with budget creation, personnel paperwork, and collaborating with other departments like Accounting and Facilities Maintenance. The manager is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing returns, and ensuring efficient distribution of merchandise throughout Reynolds Lake Oconee.

Requirements

Must be able to lead others while emphasizing the company vision.
Minimum two years Managerial experience.
Minimum two years retail merchandising and/or inventory control experience.
Must have knowledge of and experience with accounting procedures and processes.
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, professional in form and content and used to reinforce an idea or document a situation.
Must be detail oriented, excellent organizational skills and superior typing skills.
Be computer literate in Windows and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with superior typing skills.
Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical duties such as bending, standing, stooping for extended periods of time.
Ability to attain Forklift Certification.
Must be able to complete tasks with little supervision.
Must be an ambassador for Reynolds Lake Oconee and support its core values at all times.

Responsibilities

Manage all activities related to the shipping, receiving and distribution of items in the central warehouse.
Assist the Director of Facilities Maintenance with creating and maintaining the annual department budget.
Responsible for timely completion of employee evaluations and related personnel paperwork per company policy.
Interviews and hires all warehouse employees in coordination with the Director of Facilities Maintenance.
Assure scheduled staff is present, knowledgeable in their daily duties, and is performing their duties in accordance with established standards.
Communicate to staff all pertinent information including policies and procedures, human resource topics, and other related topics.
Responsible for new hire training and consistent training for all staff.
Opens and closes warehouse as scheduled.
Loads and unloads goods as needed.
Checks in and confirms that the packing list matches the item, quantity ordered being delivered.
Receives merchandise as needed into inventory software.
Prints & sku’s merchandise that is received as needed.
Works closely with the Accounting Department to process invoices and receiving documents in a timely manner.
Manages delivery and distribution of merchandise throughout Reynolds Lake Oconee with the delivery steward(s).
Manages “in stock” program and maintains par levels.
Conducts inventories as scheduled for the Central Warehouse.
Processes all returns for defective goods.
Refills propane cylinders safely according to Manufacturer’s guidelines.
Assist in other functions as necessary.
Ensures accurate inventory by properly performing the above duties and responsibilities.
Attend managers’ meetings and leadership training.
Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
Ensures a safe and hazard-free work environment for Central Warehouse department.
Ensures the proper lifting, pushing, pulling techniques are being used by the Central Warehouse staff.
Maintains forklift certifications for themselves as well as the other members of the department.
Reports any on the job injury to the Director of Facilities Management.
Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.
