About The Position

The Texas market is primarily anchored by St. Luke's Health in the Greater Houston area, and St. Joseph Health in the Brazos Valley and East Texas regions. Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is a 1,045-bed facility located in the Texas Medical Center, an internationally recognized leader in research and clinical excellence. The hospital is home to the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, a nationally-accredited and NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. As the Market VP, Oncology Service Line, you will serve as the executive leader for the Oncology Clinical Service Line across specified markets, driving its overall success and administration through strategic implementation and seamless operational oversight. You will collaborate with functional leaders, ensuring quality patient care and comprehensive health services by directing effective communication and promoting standardization across campuses. You will also drive performance across all service line areas including quality, operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and market share growth, aligning with our mission and values. Furthermore, you will work with executive sponsors to grow volume, improve service, and control costs through process improvement, serving as the primary liaison between the service line and physicians. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional executive leadership, deep expertise in oncology clinical operations and strategic planning, and a proven ability to drive quality patient care, financial performance, and market growth within a complex, multi-market environment.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or Post Graduate degree
  • 4-6 years experience with a minimum 5 years in hospital operations at the administrative leadership level

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the executive leader for the Oncology Clinical Service Line across specified markets, driving its overall success and administration through strategic implementation and seamless operational oversight.

  • Routinely communicate the organizational mission, vision and goals with team members, encouraging them to take ownership and be engaged in the organization’s performance.
