The Market Quality (MQ) experienced engineers coordinate activities to support meeting prescribed department performance measures/targets, progress and countermeasure implementation when necessary to ensure department results.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, electrical technology, mechanical engineering or relevant and strongly-related work experience.
2+ years of experience based on education, no degree requires 8 years of relevant experience
Ability to technically investigate, derive conclusions from observations/data and analytically approach problem cause phenomena.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis of failed warranty parts; Subject components & vehicles to test conditions in effort to identify failures & simulate possible causes/influences
Identify warranty problems related to design, manufacturing, or sales/service influences – promote/lead complex investigations. Perform cause determination and develop solutions/negotiate for future countermeasure.
Demonstrate technical proficiency and expertise through writing/documentation/reporting & present summaries to quality management.
Communicate with suppliers, design and service to appropriately lead/support problem investigation & resolution.
Effectively collaborate with responsible departments/suppliers to coordinate/lead appropriate problem containment
Lead/ support cost recovery efforts & negotiations by meaningfully examining warranty data & associated analysis record
Mentor entry level associates, co-op associates, or associates new to group to develop technical and Honda knowledge
