About The Position

The Market President will be responsible for interviewing loan applicants, determining loan risks, and making decisions on loans and terms within established lending limits. This role involves preparing loan packets, maintaining loan portfolios, conducting analysis on loan accounts, and collecting on past-due accounts. The Market President will also be responsible for seeking out new business, sustaining an active pipeline, satisfying high-end customer needs, resolving major customer complaints, and conducting private banking for customers. Additionally, this position requires keeping the President & CEO informed of financial results, banking competition, and new business developments. A key responsibility is the development, management, implementation, and ownership of key initiatives to support the expansion of the Commercial Real Estate Market. The Market President will also represent the bank and provide leadership in key community activities and organizations.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a banking or related field
  • Understanding of all facets of the consumer and commercial lending process
  • Must possess strong communication, organizational, and leadership qualities
  • Strong business development and networking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, analytical, and organized
  • Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Interview loan applicants concerning their businesses, needs, and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk.
  • Make decisions on loans and terms within established lending limits.
  • Prepare loan packet for presentation to Loan Committee and/or Board.
  • Maintain loan portfolios ensuring customer follow-up and monitoring of customer financials.
  • Conduct analysis on loan accounts.
  • Collect on past-due accounts.
  • Seek out new business and sustain an active pipeline.
  • Satisfy high-end customer needs; resolve major customer complaints.
  • Conduct private banking for customers.
  • Keep the President & CEO informed of financial results on the status of loans, banking competition, and new business developments.
  • Responsible for the development, management, implementation and ownership of key initiatives to support the expansion of the Commercial Real Estate Market.
  • Represents the bank and provides leadership in key community activities and organizations.
