About The Position
ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy. ISO New England has an important role to play in securing the region’s clean and reliable energy future. In this role you will assist in the Day-Ahead and Real-Time Energy Markets operations in accordance with established Market Rules, manuals and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Math, Science, or other relevant areas.
- Ability to work independently, use good judgment, and manage priorities effectively while meeting production deadlines
- Experience providing exceptional customer service and working successfully in a team environment
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and advanced report writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel and/or Access
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend coverage
Responsibilities
- Executing and approving the Day-Ahead Market.
- Monitoring and finalizing Real-Time Energy Market Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs), Reserve Market Clearing Prices (RMCPs), and Regulation Clearing Prices (RCPs).
- Carrying out complex pre- and post-production market and system operations analysis
- Actively participating in process improvement
- Developing, testing and delivering market process or software changes
