About The Position

HIB Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced and results-driven Office Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a staffing and recruiting office in Wichita, Kansas. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, driving sales and business development, strengthening recruiting performance, ensuring quality client service, and maintaining operational and financial accountability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 2–3+ years of demonstrated sales and leadership experience.
  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, sales, operations, or a related environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, questioning, and active-listening skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use recruiting, staffing, and business-management technologies.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, train, coach, and develop office staff.
  • Build a culture centered on accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and performance.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, team huddles, and sales meetings.
  • Set clear expectations and provide coaching and resources to improve team performance.
  • Manage PTO and scheduling to maintain appropriate office coverage.
  • Supervise Business Developers, Employment Specialists, Front Office Coordinators, Recruiting Specialists, and other office personnel.
  • Develop and execute quarterly sales strategies focused on target accounts and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, activity, and results.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and prospective clients.
  • Conduct regular client appointments and business-development activities.
  • Strengthen collaboration between sales and recruiting teams.
  • Develop new accounts and expand existing client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, client retention, and overall office performance.
  • Forecast staffing requirements and develop targeted recruiting strategies.
  • Monitor job postings, applications, inquiries, interviews, onboarding, and placement metrics.
  • Research and implement new recruiting methods and sourcing strategies.
  • Stay informed about local labor-market conditions, industry trends, and competitor hiring practices.
  • Ensure recruiting activity targets are consistently achieved.
  • Maintain a strong candidate pipeline through proactive sourcing and interviewing.
  • Ensure qualified job orders are taken, managed, and filled efficiently.
  • Assign orders appropriately and personally manage complex assignments when required.
  • Ensure complete and accurate job-order information is entered into the company's systems.
  • Monitor fulfillment speed, activity levels, and service standards.
  • Resolve client and candidate/associate issues proactively.
  • Maintain strong client and associate satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to improve service quality, retention, and overall customer experience.
  • Oversee accurate and timely weekly payroll processes.
  • Monitor account setup, pricing, credit, and required documentation.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support collection activities.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.
  • Manage workers' compensation and unemployment-related matters.
  • Maintain strong profitability and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with established company processes and financial controls.
  • Coordinate on-call coverage to maintain continuous service.
  • Represent the organization through local business and networking organizations.
  • Develop relationships with community organizations, colleges, high schools, and nonprofits.
  • Participate in job fairs and approved community events.
  • Generate new business leads through networking and community engagement.
  • Strengthen local brand visibility and employer relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of requirements related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and other applicable employment laws.
  • Ensure office processes and employment practices follow established policies and regulatory requirements.
