About The Position

We are seeking qualified candidates for an open Market Development Representative role in the West Region. The Market Development Representative will proactively contact our Trade Customers on a consistent basis to provide a world class sales experience. This individual will be involved in providing marketplace insights, communication of pricing, programs, product transitions, marketing assets and overall merchandising assistance. This position must sit in the Central Coast area.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree
2+ Years Sales Experience

Nice To Haves

Previous sales experience
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Excellent negotiation, persuasion and relationship building skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SAP)

Responsibilities

Responsible for the sales and development of Retail and Associate Contract Distributor Trade Customers with a territory that consists of between 80 – 100 accounts.
Be a proactive sales consultant to ensure only the highest quality sales experience for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.
Other duties include maintaining current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.
Develop and drive a ‘plan to sell’ to grow margin, revenue and share with assigned trade partners
Create strategic opportunities for buy-in and sell through activities
Provide insight driven selling techniques
Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information
Work independently and in a team environment
Earn an incentive bonus based on performance to quota
