About The Position

The Market Leader Trainee is a retail sales leadership role at 7-Eleven. Market Leaders typically lead 8–10 Area Leaders responsible for approximately 100–150 stores. The role assists and counsels Area Leaders and Store Operators, including store managers and franchisees, in daily store operations to maximize sales and gross profit. It is a key change-agent position in a dynamic, evolving business. Participants complete an in-depth training program that typically lasts 12 months. Training takes place in Ohio. Candidates must be willing to relocate and may need to relocate as needed for the role. After appointment to take over a market, a company vehicle is provided for business use. The position requires travel within the assigned region, including overnight travel approximately 25% of the time.

Requirements

5–10 years of related experience, including P&L responsibility.
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
Experience with multi-unit management for both company-operated and franchise operations: small-box operations of 100–150 stores or big-box operations of 15–50 stores.
Strong retail merchandising experience.
Ability to travel within the assigned region, with overnight travel approximately 25% of the time.
Ability to relocate as needed for the role.

Nice To Haves

MBA preferred.
Retail merchandising experience in the convenience-store and foodservice industries preferred.
Previous multi-unit management experience preferred.
