About The Position

As a Manager/Sr Manager in Corporate Market Intelligence, you will operate as an internal partner to senior leaders across Qualcomm. This role goes beyond traditional market research. You will be a key member of Qualcomm’s Corporate Market Intelligence team, informing business decisions through the delivery of technical, competitive, and market analyses. You will scope ambiguous business questions, structure analyses, triangulate multiple data sources, and deliver audience-ready insights that directly inform Qualcomm’s strategy. Your work will span market sizing, competitive intelligence, and market trends across existing and emerging markets. You will partner closely with stakeholders across Corporate Development, Product Management, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Engineering, and other BU and corporate functions, and will regularly engage with external research firms and consulting partners. This role is ideal for someone with a strong consulting and/or internal strategy experience who enjoys ambiguity, fast-paced environments, developing creative research solutions, and visible impact.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in consulting, strategy, or market intelligence in high-tech environments
  • Finance and/or consulting background preferred, strong experience with market sizing, modeling and forecasting
  • Demonstrated capability to structure and lead analyses from ambiguous questions to exec-ready outputs
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Management consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in semiconductors, wireless, IoT, automotive, cloud, AI, or adjacent technology markets
  • Experience working with syndicated research providers and external advisors
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or similar tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Market Sizing & Competitive Tracking
  • Support market sizing and forecasting, including TAM/SAM analysis across existing and emerging industries and markets
  • Develop and maintain structured market models by integrating, normalizing, and validating data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Monitor key market and competitive events, produce insightful & timely analysis, including product launches, strategic industry events, and competitive earnings
  • Track, reconcile, and synthesize forecasts from third party industry analysts across key technology areas
  • Internal Consulting & Strategic Analysis
  • Act as an internal consultant on high‑impact, ambiguous business questions
  • Scope and structure projects from problem definition through executive readout
  • Support hypothesis‑driven analyses to address strategic, competitive, and investment‑related questions
  • Reconcile conflicting data, assumptions, and external viewpoints into a single, defensible point of view
  • Stakeholder & Project Leadership
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced, stakeholder‑driven environment
  • Align research priorities with evolving business needs; proactively identify gaps and opportunities
  • Guide stakeholders to the most appropriate data sources, methodologies, and analytical approaches
  • External Advisor & Research Management
  • Manage relationships with third‑party research firms and consulting partners (e.g., IDC, Gartner, Omdia, McKinsey, and others)
  • Evaluate external methodologies, challenge assumptions, and synthesize third‑party insights into Qualcomm‑specific perspectives
  • Help shape the overall market intelligence research portfolio in alignment with strategic priorities
  • Process Improvement & Thought Leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve research workflows, decision speed, and impact
  • Contribute to the evolution of Market Intelligence capabilities, tools, and best practices
  • Monitor emerging trends and proactively surface insights relevant to Qualcomm’s long‑term strategy
