About The Position

The Executive Vice President Market Executive is responsible for the leadership and overall performance of the Bank's Franchise Finance line of business. This executive establishes strategic priorities, drives profitable growth, maintains portfolio quality, develops organizational capabilities, and champions a culture of collaboration, accountability, and exceptional client service. The role requires significant independent judgment, executive decision-making, and influence across multiple business lines while ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic objectives, risk appetite, and long-term growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of twenty-five (25) years of progressive commercial banking experience.
  • Extensive experience in Franchise Finance with a demonstrated record of leading complex commercial banking relationships and specialty lending platforms.
  • Proven success developing and executing strategic business growth initiatives within commercial banking.
  • Significant experience structuring, negotiating, and managing sophisticated commercial credit transactions.
  • Prior leadership experience managing high-performing banking teams and developing talent.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
  • Established relationships within the franchise finance industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for the Bank's Franchise Finance business.
  • Establish annual business plans, production objectives, and growth strategies aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and evolving industry trends to position the Bank for sustained growth.
  • Serve as the principal executive responsible for the performance and continued expansion of the Franchise Finance platform.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding market expansion, portfolio composition, capital deployment, and business development initiatives.
  • Participate as an active member of the Corporate Banking leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with franchise operators, multi-unit ownership groups, franchisors, franchise development organizations, private equity sponsors, and other strategic referral sources.
  • Lead business development initiatives designed to generate high-quality commercial lending, treasury management, deposit, and fee income opportunities.
  • Represent the Bank at national, regional, and industry-specific conferences, trade associations, and client events.
  • Strengthen the Bank's reputation as a trusted financing partner within the franchise industry.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver comprehensive commercial banking solutions that address clients' evolving financial needs.
  • Maintain executive oversight of the Franchise Finance portfolio, ensuring strong credit quality, appropriate portfolio diversification, and disciplined risk management.
  • Partner closely with Credit Administration in the evaluation, structuring, approval, and ongoing management of complex commercial lending relationships.
  • Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and portfolio performance to proactively identify opportunities and emerging risks.
  • Ensure lending activities are conducted in accordance with established credit policy, regulatory requirements, and the Bank's overall risk appetite.
  • Assist in the continued evolution of underwriting standards, portfolio strategies, and credit philosophies specific to Franchise Finance.
  • Drive sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining strong risk-adjusted returns.
  • Develop and manage annual business plans, production forecasts, and financial objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including loan production, deposit generation, treasury management revenue, fee income, profitability, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Partner with Finance and executive leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Promote disciplined pricing strategies and capital allocation that support long-term shareholder value.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and client excellence.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain high-performing banking professionals as the Franchise Finance business continues to expand.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide coaching that supports both individual and organizational success.
  • Encourage professional development and succession planning across the business line.
  • Serve as a trusted leader and resource within the Corporate Banking organization.
  • Partner with leaders across Corporate Banking, Credit Administration, Treasury Management, Operations, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to ensure coordinated execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration across business lines to maximize client relationships and enterprise value.
  • Participate in executive committees, strategic initiatives, and leadership meetings as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate leadership that reflects the Bank's values, culture, and commitment to operational excellence.
