About The Position

Sazerac is seeking a Market Development Manager to lead strategic company expansion in sales. This role involves supervising a team and a salesforce to build brands, maximize distribution, and foster consumer connections. The Market Development Manager will inspire and develop their team, establish marketing programs, help achieve sales objectives, manage field sales territories through account visits, and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team. Job responsibilities may vary by state based on regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry (CPG).
  • Proven success in managing and leading people.
  • Demonstrated successful use of sales data analytics and tools to drive sales results, identify market trends, and produce measurable results.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel within an assigned district is required.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% overnights when necessary.
  • Candidate must reside in or near the district.
  • Ability to personally cover ordinary and essential business expenses that will be promptly reimbursed.
  • Must be able to obtain a relevant solicitor’s permit in any state.

  • On-Premise and Off-Premise sales experience
  • Market development and sales analysis experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Market Development Representatives to build brands, maximize distribution, and solve problems.
  • Inspire and develop the team to meet individual and company sales objectives.
  • Establish and implement marketing programs for distribution, product activations, merchandise displays, and retail promotions.
  • Help achieve sales objectives for brands according to priorities.
  • Plan and execute consistent account visits with priority accounts.
  • Implement and support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team.
