About The Position

As a Market Development Executive with Insight, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities within our existing mid-market client base, with a focus on Microsoft technologies from both a services and cloud solution provider (CSP) perspective. You will introduce Microsoft solutions to mid-market clients in an assigned geography/territory across various industries. Your role will encompass managing the sales process from initial contact through negotiation to closing the deal. You will leverage Insight’s unique services expertise to provide clients with a creative vision, executional capabilities, and ongoing solutions management. This role requires deep technical expertise to help C-Suite & VP leaders understand their cloud strategy, a growth mindset to identify whitespace and new opportunities for specialty solutions and services, and strong client engagement skills to build trusted advisory relationships with executive-level decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience driving tech sales over $2 million in gross profit.
  • Track record of strategizing & operationalizing technology solutions to solve critical business problems.
  • Ability to help C-Suite & VP leaders understand their strategy within the cloud.
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions and services.
  • Experience leading large digital transformations as a cloud services principal or consulting services specialist.
  • Strong client engagement skills.
  • Ability to make meaningful connections that positively impact clients, partners, and teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities within existing mid-market client base, focusing on Microsoft technologies (services and CSP).
  • Introduce Microsoft solutions to mid-market clients in an assigned geography/territory.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact, through negotiation, to final close.
  • Leverage Insight’s services expertise to provide creative vision, executional capabilities, and ongoing solutions management.
  • Help C-Suite & VP leaders understand their cloud strategy.
  • Roadmap ideas and turn challenges into opportunities using knowledge of cloud solutions and services.
  • Identify whitespace within existing accounts and new opportunities for specialty solutions and services.
  • Execute technical account growth strategy in partnership with services delivery.
  • Drive efficiency through automation and analytics.
  • Build strong customer relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
  • Provide trusted advisory services to assist clients in achieving their analytic business objectives.
