About The Position

Wealthfront is seeking an experienced financial writer and/or editor (or audio reporter/producer with writing experience) to support its growing market commentary vertical and newsletter, Vested Interest. The objective of this vertical is to empower digital natives to make informed financial decisions through timely, unique content that connects prevailing macroeconomic news with their personal finance goals. This role will be responsible for ideating and writing engaging, sharable stories for the Vested Interest newsletter and associated distribution channels. This includes creating a mix of short and long-form content in both written and video formats, as well as translating topics into social media content across platforms like Substack, TikTok, and YouTube. The role will collaborate closely with multiple internal teams, including Social Media, Editorial, Investment Research, Creative, and Compliance.

Requirements

4-7 years experience writing and editing timely and engaging market and macroeconomic stories at top-tier outlets.
Experience writing original, timely long-form content is required.
Familiarity with investing and personal finance strategies, macroeconomic data, and how overarching financial trends impact young professionals.
Storytelling creativity and expertise in translating financial news and data into unique, digestible content.
Audio, video, and/or social media experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

Monitor market and macroeconomic news daily and generate high-quality, timely content ideas that help young professionals navigate market trends and build their financial confidence.
Manage Vested Interest’s presence on social media platforms for short- and long-form video, audio, and written content, focusing on both translating newsletter content and developing original material that delivers value to Wealthfront’s audience.
Partner with Lifecycle, Social Media and Creative teams to distribute content to clients and prospects across channels.
Evaluate content formats and distribution channels and make recommendations on which to emphasize.
Partner with internal teams to measure the impact of content and develop strategies to improve outcomes.
