As a Market Analyst Intern, you will work on meaningful projects that play a key role in evaluating opportunities that impact our business and the future of our company. With offices and facilities around the world, our intern recruits will collaborate and connect with cross-functional Solar teams on a global scale to review critical customer requirements, assess markets, market trends, and the competitive landscape within existing and new markets. As Market Analyst, you will be responsible for: Gathering of qualitative and quantitative data from publicly available sources, subscribed databases, expert interviews, and internal Solar Turbines and Caterpillar business units. Integrating, analyzing, and summarizing the above data to derive insightful conclusions that maximize business impact and support strategic decision making. Major summer intern deliverables: Competitor research and analysis, market assessments, industry research. Creating reports and presentations to clearly communicate recommendations with supporting data to senior stakeholders. Developing positive relationships and working closely with leaders to enable decision making.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of college pursuing a four-year degree program or master’s in accounting, Marketing, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent on-the-job experience in industry.
  • Classified by your school as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior planning to attend graduate school, or currently attending graduate school.
  • Overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be team oriented and able to work closely and effectively with internal and external customers.
