About The Position

The MAM Lead is a critical role in the Market Access Department and a senior position in our organization to achieve results and position Abbvie for long-term success. This position has an in-depth understanding of regional market access operations to optimize AbbVie’s portfolio while ensuring compliance to external and internal regulations and guidelines. In addition, the position oversees all innovative projects regarding patient pathways, e-health and AI initiatives in the regions. Specifically, this role will develop tailor-made value propositions for regional stakeholders. You create internal buy-in and approval by creating a winning strategy with a clear win-win business case for the customer and AbbVie and have clear insight what resources and investments are necessary for implementation. As MAM Lead you will have the Market Access Managers reporting to you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree within areas such as medicine, pharmacy, economics or similar.
  • Preferably with 10-15 years of experience from pharma industry or healthcare.
  • Good understanding of Market Access and Health Economics and the Swedish payer system.
  • Experience of Market Access is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • Health Economics, Sales, and/or Policymaking is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of our prioritized therapeutical areas is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for key strategy and execution of contracting & value to payers in regions, pharmacies and wholesalers for AbbVie’s portfolio.
  • Coach the team to go beyond value insights and pricing analyses in order to provide clear recommendations to business teams to reach the next level.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop value strategies for pipeline planning and new product launches.
  • Oversee the team of Market Access Managers, responsible for coaching and development for MAMs.
  • In collaboration with Head Market Access Sweden develop innovative negotiation strategies for new and marketed products in 3PN-processes with regions.
  • Work with legal, market access, business, and finance teams to devise and implement strategies to maximize business opportunities regarding innovative projects (patient pathways, e-health and AI) while remaining compliant.
  • Monitor health care and payer policy environment for implications related to market dynamics concerning payers.
  • Liaise with international market access leads to identify further requirements for Swedish market access.
