About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the course Introduction to Human Resource Management (MBAB 5P52) for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be asked to invigilate exams or enter grades into databases. Compensation is based on the highest degree or year of undergraduate study completed, with rates effective September 1, 2026.
Requirements
- Must have completed MBAB 5P52 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
- Graduate of or Major in Business with a minimum major average of 75%.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
- Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
