About The Position
RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Maritime Outboard Motor Mechanic in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Secret security clearance
- Three years’ experience as an Original Equipment Manufacturer-certified mechanic with either Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki, or Yamaha commercial small outboard engines and ancillary equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting and minor repairs of outboard and inboard marine diesel engines manufactured by Caterpillar and Cummings, as well as Hamilton and Kamewa waterjets
Responsibilities
- Service and repair craft and trailers, including light surface craft, Jet Skis, and various models of inboard and outboard motors
- Provide on-the-job training instruction to entry-level mechanics unfamiliar with various types of propulsion and ancillary equipment
