Summary HII Elevator Support Unit (ESU) teams provide expert maintenance and repairs on aircraft carriers in support of the ESU contract. The selected Welder candidate will support ESU, working closely with our skilled trades teams, onboard the ships, and shore-based facilities using various welding processes, mechanical techniques and related duties to repair, remove, install, and upgrade industrial equipment, assisting with repairs, alterations and installations. This is a full-time position, located in Chesapeake, VA. Selected candidate will be required to travel to local shipyards and military bases and work performed on broad the ship. When assigned to travel, Per Diem provided based on location. Travel and lodging expenses are covered by the company. Candidate must be able to demonstrate welding ability on needed processes through qualification testing and pass with a satisfactory grade from our Quality Assurance Team within the first four weeks from start date for continued employment.
