About The Position
Boater’s World Marine Centers in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring experienced Marine Technicians who are ready to grow their careers in a prime DFW location. Boater’s World Marine Centers is a proud part of Outdoor Network, a national leader in the marine and powersports industry with over 20 years of success. As the owner of Boats.net, we have unmatched access to OEM parts, outboards, and tools that most dealers can’t get. We’re looking for a skilled Marine Technician / Outboard Mechanic to join our Grand Prairie team and help us raise the bar. If you take pride in your craft, want factory training with Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda, and are hungry for growth—this is your shop.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of marine tech experience (dealership preferred)
- Manufacturer certifications preferred (Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, MerCruiser)
- MMI graduate a plus
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Confident working with mechanical, electrical, and rigging systems
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to hustle
- Must be able to work Saturdays (closed Sunday, 1 weekday off)
- Team player with a positive attitude—we care about culture
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on marine outboards and inboards
- Rig new and pre-owned units for customer delivery
- Install OEM and aftermarket parts and accessories
- Perform safety inspections and recommend services
- Conduct water/lake testing when necessary
- Minimize comebacks by delivering clean, accurate work the first time
- Identify upsell opportunities and generate additional revenue through quality service
