Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in marine engine maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of fuel systems, transmission lines, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for mechanical and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
• Engine maintenance, fuel systems, and transmission lines are applied daily to diagnose and repair complex marine machinery, ensuring vessels operate safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency with hand tools and electronic controls enables the technician to perform precise adjustments and troubleshoot electronic components effectively.
• Knowledge of pumps and hydraulic systems is essential for maintaining fluid power systems critical to vessel operation.
• Strong communication skills support effective interaction with customers and team members, facilitating clear explanations of technical issues and maintenance recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on marine engines, fuel systems, transmission lines, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic control issues using hand tools and diagnostic equipment, and implement effective repairs.
• Inspect and service pumps and other critical components to maintain system integrity and prevent failures.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and explain maintenance procedures and repair options.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
