Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in marine systems installation or related trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
- Lift and carry over 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds.
- Vocational technical school degree/certification (preferred).
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Ability to install and test electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of marine safety standards with experience in watertight sealing, ventilation, and auxiliary systems.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including wiring, fixtures, engines, pumps, ventilation, and plumbing components. Ensure all installations are watertight.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Measure, cut, and strip wire; connect wiring to terminals using appropriate tools.
- Test electrical systems for voltage, resistance, and phase angle. Troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
