Requirements

  • 5+ years of Marine Technician experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience servicing wake boats and performance boats.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with inboard and outboard engines.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, propulsion, cooling, and fuel systems.
  • Experience working with modern marine electronics (Garmin, audio systems, GPS, etc.).
  • Current manufacturer certifications (Volvo Penta, Mercury, Yamaha, or similar) are highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must provide personal tools and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Current manufacturer certifications (Volvo Penta, Mercury, Yamaha, or similar) are highly preferred.
  • CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair wake boats and other marine vessels.
  • Perform repairs on inboard engines, including PCM, Indmar, Volvo Penta, MerCruiser, and similar platforms.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, propulsion, hydraulic, and ballast systems.
  • Service wake systems, surf systems, wake gates, towers, steering, and marine electronics.
  • Complete routine maintenance, seasonal services, winterizations, de-winterizations, and inspections.
  • Install and upgrade marine electronics, gauges, GPS systems, audio equipment, and performance accessories.
  • Conduct sea trials and on-water testing to verify repairs.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders, service documentation, and parts records.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with launching, retrieving, transporting, or providing mobile service when required.
