Marine Sales and Yard Manager
About The Position
The Marina Sales & Yard Manager is a dynamic, multi-faceted role responsible for supporting marina operations, marine sales, customer service, and property maintenance. This position plays a key role in the sales of boats, dock systems, and boat lifts while also assisting with day-to-day marina, rental, and service operations. This role offers a wide variety of responsibilities and is ideal for a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced marina environment. On-the-job training is available for the right candidate. This job requires working Saturdays during the summer months.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to trailer and maneuver boats
- Boat license (or willingness to obtain)
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Applications
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- General handyman skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting
- Ability to lift, move, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Sales experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined with general marine knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
- Boat sales and customer support
- Maintain sales inventory, yard appearance and showroom appearance
- Organize off-site events to display/showcase new boats
- Coordinate customer demos and test drives
- ShoreMaster dock and lift sales, design, ordering, and installation
- Pick up, launch, haul and deliver boats
- Assist with boat valet
- Support boat rentals including fueling, inspections, customer orientation, and repairs
- Support service and parts department
- Perform general facility maintenance including painting, repairs, and groundskeeping
