About The Position

An experienced Mechanic is sought to join the Operations Team in New Iberia, Louisiana. The Mechanic inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs mechanical and electrical systems and equipment that support marine operations. The position works closely with the Repair & Maintenance Manager and boat crews to identify equipment issues, coordinate repairs, and help ensure vessels and equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational.

Responsibilities

Inspect cranes, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, structural components, electrical systems, and other vessel and equipment components.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and equipment-related problems and determine appropriate repairs.
Perform major and minor mechanical and electrical repairs.
Respond to repair needs at company facilities, vessels, and other assigned locations.
Provide support and consultation to boat crews regarding equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
Coordinate and schedule repair work and assign specific duties to mechanics as needed.
Supervise and provide guidance to mechanics and other assigned employees.
Determine estimated repair time, materials, parts, and labor requirements.
Research and verify the availability of required parts, equipment, and outside labor.
Assist with maintaining equipment in safe and reliable operating condition.
Communicate repair status and recommendations to the Repair & Maintenance Manager and vessel personnel.
Respond to emergency repair needs and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
