About The Position

The Marine Hull Liability Broker supports daily operations for the Shipowners Broking team. This role involves communication with clients and insurance markets, document creation, assistance with compliance, systems data entry, and other support tasks. The position supports the end-to-end placement lifecycle for new business and renewals to help maintain positive client relationships. Visa employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 3 - 5 years of Marine Hull and Liability experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Basic technical knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and related workplace technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a track record of success working against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously or within the team, while working towards tight deadlines
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, with a high-level focus on quality
  • Ability to conduct research
  • Understanding of required placement workflows
  • Property and Casualty license required within 90 days of employment
  • Must demonstrate core competency of Willis Towers Watson Values & Vision
  • Demonstrated AI competency, including the ability to effectively leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, support decision-making, and improve work outcomes while adhering to company policies and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

  • Work with brokers to provide day-to-day servicing of accounts, including: Issuance of policies and endorsements
  • Assist in formulating submissions for insurance carriers
  • Assist with quote comparative spreadsheets
  • Issuance of compliance documentation
  • Assist and coordinate responses to RFPs
  • Organize internal, prospect and client meetings
  • Carry out surplus lines, market security, sanctions, and third-party payment procedures
  • Support invoicing of all Shipowner accounts
  • Follow up on invoicing and accounting inquiries
  • Maintain updated account list
  • Review and manage policy expiration list
  • Learn and utilize WTW software and systems – ECLIPSE, add/renew policy record in ECLIPSE; upload required documentation throughout placement
