About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Flat Welders for projects located in the Alameda, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $37/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Must have respirator fit completed
- Pass a drug screen
- Must have experience with dual shield fluxore welding processes (FCAW)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a shipyard is a plus
- Fitting experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform structural and industrial welding in a marine shipyard environment
- Utilize Dual Shield Flux Core welding processes FCAW to complete production and repair work
- Weld carbon steel components structural assemblies brackets and shipboard materials to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints weld symbols and fabrication drawings
- Assist with fitting alignment and layout of materials as needed
- Maintain quality and production standards in a fast-paced industrial setting
- Follow all shipyard safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work in confined spaces elevated areas and various outdoor weather conditions as required
