Fletcher Technical Community College is seeking a Marine Electrician Instructor to join the Academic Affairs department, specifically within the Energy & Advanced Technologies sub-department. This is an unclassified, 12-month faculty appointment. The instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction in marine electrical systems, equipment, troubleshooting, safety practices, and industry procedures. The role involves teaching credit and non-credit courses, maintaining a schedule, providing student support, and ensuring students understand and apply safe work practices. The instructor will also develop course materials, utilize various teaching methods, monitor student progress, advise and mentor students, and support their transition to employment or further education. Building relationships with industry partners, contributing to curriculum development, participating in college activities, and maintaining instructional equipment are also key aspects of the role. The instructor will promote an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
