About The Position
Devall Diesel Services is seeking a Certified Marine Diesel & Generator Technician to support its expanding Houston-area operations. This is a field-based position with a company-provided service truck. Technicians must be willing to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations. Compensation is based on certifications and experience, including the number and level of OEM certifications, years of field experience, marine versus industrial background, and diagnostic capability. Overtime pay is available.
Requirements
- OEM certification in one or more of the following: Cummins, John Deere, Kohler, or an equivalent diesel power systems manufacturer.
- Strong diesel diagnostics experience; marine experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid TWIC Card.
- Must pass DOT drug screening, DOT physical, and an extensive background check.
- Willingness to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation.
Nice To Haves
- Marine diesel experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine diesel engines and generator systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service.
- Complete OEM warranty and service documentation.
- Respond to service calls throughout Houston and the Gulf Coast region.
- Maintain professional communication with customers.
- Maintain the company vehicle and tools.
