Marching Band Percussion Tech
About The Position
The Marching Band Drum Tech supports the percussion program by providing instruction and assistance to the marching battery throughout the season. This role involves helping students learn and refine the marching percussion book, reinforcing technique, timing, sound quality, and musical consistency. The tech will also assist with rehearsals, sectionals, and full ensemble rehearsals, and provide individual and small-group instruction as needed. Additionally, the tech will support the percussion staff with preparation for rehearsals and performances, and attend scheduled rehearsals, performances, and competitions.
Requirements
- Experience in marching percussion
- Ability to instruct students in technique, timing, and musicality
- Knowledge of marching percussion literature
- Ability to work with individual and small groups
- Professional and student-centered approach
Responsibilities
