About The Position

Liberty High School is seeking to hire a woodwind instructor to assist with teaching flute, clarinet, and saxophone students in sectional and large group settings within the Marching Band. Applicants will also work with students on visual responsibilities and marching technique. Though woodwinds will be the main focus, applicants will also assist in full ensemble rehearsals. Applicants will work as part of a team with other coaches, band staff, and directors to deliver high quality instruction to students throughout the marching band season. Prior experience through performance and/or coaching is preferred. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to teaching and working with students, coordinating and communicating with administration, staff, and community members. Performs temporary, instructional-related activities at the direction of a licensed staff member. Compensation for all hired extra pay positions (coaches, sponsors, ancillary instructors, etc.) is contingent upon the specific athletic, activity, or academic event being approved by the District to occur during the school year related to this position/posting. Requirements

  • High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Meets the identified learning needs of assigned students as directed by a licensed staff member
  • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with instructional staff and others in completing responsibilities
