The MAP Engineer is responsible for the creation, validation, approval, and monitoring of design and engineering corrective actions, improvements, and preventive measures. This includes launching new modifications, updating drawings, and issuing design query notes to resolve engineering-related non-conformities. The role also involves creating, approving, and authorizing technical solutions, including justification reports for repairs, rework, or troubleshooting instructions. The MAP Engineer will represent the Chief Engineering and design offices of AIRBUS, acting as a design-to-build supplier representative. They will serve as an interface between the A320 Family Chief Engineer, Design office, and Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. Additionally, the position provides engineering support to the FAL US throughout the complete manufacturing process, from section delivery to FAL and flight line activities, up to the aircraft ferry flight, including engineering presentations to the customer. The role also entails the creation, approval, and authorization of temporary aircraft definitions (special instructions) in compliance with airworthiness requirements.
