About The Position

This role involves the operation of a variety of machines, from a six-ton overhead crane to a tube-forming mill. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, processing tubing through equipment, and ensuring the quality of produced and shipped tubes. The position also requires ensuring equipment is in safe operating condition, reviewing computerized work lists, prioritizing orders, and communicating with other operators to formulate the run order of material. Daily operational and safety checklists must be completed.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent preferred.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and speak English is preferred.
Mathematical skills equivalent to high school level including the ability to do decimals, fractions and averages required.
Must be able to communicate, both in written and verbal form, effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Operation of a variety of machines ranging for a six-ton overhead crane to a tube-forming mill.
Loading/unloading materials onto/off of machines.
Processing tubing through equipment.
Ensuring quality of tubes being produced and shipped out.
Ensuring that the equipment is in a safe operating condition.
Reviewing the computerized work list for the equipment.
Locating available material and prioritizing the orders to be processed.
Communicating with the other operators to formulate the run order of material.
Loading/unloading various machines to include conveyors.
Performing any necessary set-up during shift.
Completing daily Operational and Safety Checklists.
