About The Position

Airxchange, a growing and well‑established South Shore manufacturer of sustainable, energy‑efficient components for the HVAC industry, is seeking an energetic Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by resolving process, equipment, and material issues; documenting and standardizing processes; and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with operators, engineering, and lean teams to support prototype builds, training, and efficiency improvements across the manufacturing process. Requirements

  • B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Hands on creative approach to problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to resolve problems with process, equipment and material.
  • Document fixtures, jigs & custom machinery in support of manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions and time standards.
  • Assist with training to documented processes.
  • Provide support to the Lean Manufacturing team and their improvement projects
  • Act as a liaison between machine operators and product engineering during prototype builds
  • Report on calculated benefits from continuous improvement projects
  • Identify opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process
