The Manufacturing Welder located in Ville Platte, La is responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications and other forms of instruction. Requirements

Must be able to pass a 1G open root pipe test with GMAW root and FCAW fill and cap.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux core) welding techniques.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Preference for one-year certificate from technical school or college.

Responsibilities

Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend and grind component parts.
Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.
Examine work for defects.
Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
Maintain the required safety training.
