About The Position

Formlabs is hiring a Manufacturing Test Software Intern to develop software and tools that support manufacturing and testing of professional 3D printers. The role sits at the intersection of hardware and software, contributing functionality for calibration, validation, and testing of electromechanical and robotic systems. The intern will collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to define requirements and deliver testing solutions. They will work across the lifecycle of the test tools ecosystem, from design and validation through documentation, deployment, and maintenance, and use data science to analyze production lines and inform operations. The role also involves improving development and deployment processes used to release software across global factories. The posting describes the internship as full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite in Somerville, Massachusetts. It lists the internship term as Winter/Spring 2026 (January–April), although the title says Winter/Spring 2027.
