About The Position

The Test Engineering Internship provides hands-on experience developing and executing manual and automated regression test cases with support from modern AI testing platforms. Interns work closely with Test Engineers to understand technical requirements, ensure test coverage, and contribute to high-quality software delivery. The role also involves maintaining documentation, following testing best practices, and researching emerging tools and AI-driven approaches to improve testing efficiency. It is intended for current students or recent graduates in technology-focused degree programs who are eager to learn, have strong analytical skills, and are interested in software testing, AI tooling, and modern development workflows.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university program majoring in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technology field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with software testing or web development.
• Familiarity with AI tooling or interest in AI-driven testing approaches.
• Located in or around the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred but not required).
• Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and participation in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated regression test cases using AI platforms.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers to gather requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Maintain testing best practices, documentation, and AI tool usage guidelines.
• Research testing tools, frameworks, and AI technologies to identify innovative approaches to testing challenges.
• Assist in improving testing workflows, processes, and automation strategies.
