Your Role at Baxter This is where my hands make life-sustaining products As a Manufacturing Test Engineering Technician, you will help keep manufacturing test equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, support production needs, and assist with the installation and validation of new test systems. Working closely with Manufacturing Test Engineers, you will help improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure test systems meet quality and regulatory requirements. Your Team You will be part of the Manufacturing Test Engineering team, a group focused on supporting and improving the test systems used throughout production. The team works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to solve technical issues, support new product and equipment launches, and drive continuous improvements. We value teamwork, hands-on problem solving, accountability, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical experience in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Computer Systems Technology, Industrial Technology, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years supporting manufacturing test equipment, automated systems, or similar equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Automated test equipment (ATE).
  • National Instruments (NI), LabVIEW, or TestStand.
  • Equipment validation and qualification activities.
  • SAP, Agile PLM, or maintenance tracking systems.
  • Test fixture builds, wiring, and cable assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair manufacturing test equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-based systems.
  • Support production by quickly resolving equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Help build, install, and validate new test systems.
  • Assist with calibrations, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams.
