About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician investigates, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment within the assigned department. This position works with supervisor and department members to achieve quality and delivery objectives. This position supports with the training of new associates and cross training of current associates and fills in for production associates during absences. The manufacturing technician also aides in preparation and support of shutdown activities and ensures a safe working environment.

Ability to perform mechanical work.
Ability to perform basic electrical work.
Ability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
Ability to identify faulty equipment and acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs.
Ability to document daily activities and complete periodic activity summaries.
Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision or detailed instructions.
Ability to confirm accuracy of tool life data.
Ability to identify waste in process and report to supervisor.

Responsibilities

Investigates, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment within the assigned department.
Works with supervisor and department members to achieve quality and delivery objectives.
Supports with the training of new associates and cross training of current associates.
Fills in for production associates during absences.
Aides in preparation and support of shutdown activities.
Ensures a safe working environment.
Identifies faulty equipment and acquires parts and equipment to complete repairs.
Repairs production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery, performing mechanical work.
Assists supervisor with daily shift meetings and prioritizes and reviews work orders to schedule daily work.
Performs preventive and predictive maintenance and basic electrical work.
Reviews all non-conforming parts and confirms accuracy and completion of TPM’s.
Supports scrap reduction activities.
Confirms model changeover confirmation.
Confirms quality of parts from all members of team.
Gives direct feedback to related associates and directs information to appropriate associates.
