About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment. In this role, the Manufacturing Technician must have operational knowledge of how their actions and decisions impact financial, quality and safety metrics. Understand and adheres to plant operating procedures, guidelines and complies with regulatory requirements in their area of responsibility. This role keeps the line running efficiently.

Requirements

Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to internal teams and exchange information to peers in an effective manner.
Demonstrated competency in attention to detail, accuracy, work standards, initiative and managing work.
Demonstrated ability to operate a Packaging Line and related equipment (i.e. startup, clearing jams, manual operations, and shutdown).
Demonstrated ability to assist in changeovers, wash outs and preventative maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments to maximize run time.
Demonstrated ability to use electronic devices for data entry and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

Routinely communicates with team members on own team, team members on adjoining shifts, TRM, Area Manager, Planners, Maintenance etc. on short-medium range production output vs plan across the department to ensure customer service levels are met by providing the required output on a timely basis.
Assist mechanics on larger projects and breakdowns.
Support root-cause analysis in line with down-time procedure to identify and implement preventative solutions.
Complete preventative maintenance work orders and follow the escalation process, as needed.
Complete changeovers with the help of operators, rebuild changeover parts and troubleshoot causes of minor failures.
