About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician will provide daily support to production lines, ensuring optimal production flow and output per hour according to targets. This role serves as the first line of support for troubleshooting production equipment, analyzing recurring technical problems, and developing solutions. The technician will assist machine operators with the operation, change over, and fine adjustments of production equipment, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities also include identifying opportunities for equipment and process improvement, participating in continuous improvement projects following LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) guidelines, and adhering to quality standards to ensure high-quality product output. The role involves providing technical support through mentoring, on-the-job training, and consulting in machine qualifications and troubleshooting. Additionally, the technician will participate in validation testing and supplier quality evaluations as a machine subject matter expert, document root cause analysis of equipment downtime, and actively cooperate on preventive maintenance strategies and the introduction of new technologies. Support will be provided to maintenance mechanics and production operators, with a focus on minimizing safety risks during maintenance and operation. Device documentation management and standardization of new equipment, along with continuous improvement of existing equipment, are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of pneumatic, servo, and industrial control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance and/or equipment repair.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to transfer technical knowledge and support the development of others.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret production documentation, electrical schematics, technical drawings (including AutoCAD), user manuals, and machine specifications.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for training as required.
  • English proficiency at a professional, working level.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within the corrugated packaging industry is an asset.
  • Degree or certification in manufacturing technology, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

  • Minimizing safety risks during maintenance and operation.
  • Device documentation management.
  • Cooperation to standardize new equipment and continuously improve existing equipment.
