About The Position
We are hiring a Manufacturing Technician – Aerospace Coatings & Thermal Protection Systems to support aerospace manufacturing by applying organic coatings, paint systems, and Thermal Protective Systems (TPS) to flight hardware. This role requires experience interpreting engineering drawings and process documentation while performing brush, roll, and spray application methods to meet corrosion protection, appearance, and engineering requirements.
Requirements
- Experience applying coatings using brush, roll, and spray methods.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing, aircraft finishing, or Thermal Protective Systems (TPS) applications.
- Experience working with corrosion protection coatings and paint preparation processes.
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Responsibilities
- Apply organic coatings to flight hardware to meet corrosion protection, durability, and appearance requirements.
- Perform organic chemical conversion processes and paint surface preparation.
- Apply coatings using brush, roll, and spray application techniques.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process work instructions to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Perform vacuum and mechanical bonding of Thermal Protective Systems (TPS) on aerospace flight hardware.
- Apply Thermal Protective Systems using spray and pour methods.
- Inspect completed work to verify quality and conformance with engineering specifications.
- Follow all assigned environmental, health, and safety procedures while maintaining compliance with manufacturing standards.
