About The Position

Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Segment, is seeking a diligent Manufacturing Technician specialized in tooling to join its manufacturing team. The role requires a foundational understanding of manufacturing processes, with emphasis on tooling maintenance and repair. The technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tooling and mechanical equipment to support production efficiency and safety. The schedule is four 10-hour days per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/associate-level education and 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

Technical certifications or vocational training in manufacturing or maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Familiarity with computer-based skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Forklift operating ability.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on tooling equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair tooling-related issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure tools and equipment are operating correctly and safely.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Perform safety checks and ensure machinery complies with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
Report the status of equipment and tooling maintenance to supervisors.
Work closely with manufacturing team members and production staff.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes.
Work in various environmental conditions.
