About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician at Peak Energy is a versatile role responsible for executing daily production activities while partnering closely with engineering to improve processes, quality, and efficiency. This role is directly accountable for meeting production schedules, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement to align actual output with demand requirements across NPI and Production Builds. You will work at the intersection of hands-on production and engineering collaboration, playing a key role as Peak Energy scales its Energy Storage Systems manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accountability and continuous improvement are part of the daily rhythm.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to engineering or process development
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule including weekends and 12-hour shifts
  • Proven ability to track, report, and act on production metrics including plan vs. actual, yield, and throughput
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems for scheduling and reporting
  • Results-oriented with accountability for meeting demand and quality expectations
  • Strong communicator who can bridge production and engineering functions
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive improvements

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Meet daily and weekly production plan targets and track actual performance against plan
  • Ensure production output meets demand schedules, both in volume and timing
  • Take ownership of first-pass yield, scrap, and rework rates to maintain quality performance
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality against specifications
  • Escalate and help resolve quality issues, driving corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards
  • Provide structured feedback to engineering teams on design, assembly methods, and process performance
  • Support NPIs, pilot builds, and process validation activities
  • Assist in executing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and updating documentation as processes evolve
  • Collect and analyze production data to support root cause investigations
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies impacting plan vs. actual performance
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes, tooling, and methods
  • Participate in Lean/5S initiatives and help standardize best practices across operations
