About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician modifies and/or constructs parts and components to create new products according to client specifications. Performs quality tests and inspections on modified and/or assembled items and conducts adjustments when needed to make sure the final product meets client’s specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of a business or trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product lines and applications, alternate product substitutes, and supplier pricing policies preferred.
  • Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Internet, and SAP software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management.
  • Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to perform all aspects of the job as accurately and efficiently and safely as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment.
  • Ensures efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments.
  • Gathers and arranges materials.
  • Produces components by modifying or assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Reads and deciphers assembly instructions.
  • Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Conducts quality control checks.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
