About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician assists shop productivity through various stages of production and repair. The role involves preparing products for assembly, assembling products, operating tools and machinery, and, depending on skill level, welding products. The technician also intakes and disassembles engine cylinder heads and other products serviced by the location, performs general shop duties, and maintains a clean work environment. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

Experience operating a forklift and ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to repeat motions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to follow all safety policies.
Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.
Foster good coworker citizenship and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Use hand tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, presses, air compressors, hoists, sandblasters, paint guns, grinders, and band saws.
Operate power tools.
Prepare products for assembly.
Assemble products at various stages of production.
Weld products at various stages of production, depending on skill level.
Operate machines throughout the assembly and production process.
Intake and disassemble engine cylinder heads and other products serviced by the location.
Perform general shop responsibilities.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
