As a Senior Production Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment and processes in accordance with standard operating procedures and pilot protocols. You will inspect product for quality and adherence to specifications, and complete and ensure the accuracy of all process orders and associated required documentation, records, and metrics. You will participate in the development and review of documentation changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency, and prepare work centers for appropriate line clearance procedures and conduct regular cleaning in accordance with standard operating procedures. You will also train other employees as needed, participate in process improvement teams and help implement improvements, and act as a liaison with engineering staff on process improvement and development, communicating to the production team. You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions. You will perform semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area. This role has key responsibilities supporting manufacturing operations either in the manufacturing, packaging, and/or product labeling areas. You will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product, working from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by a supervisor to perform production tasks. You will check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances, provide support to an area, person, or program, and interface with internal customers. You will function as a subject matter expert in your area of knowledge and participate in the development and/or delivery of training for other employees on equipment and/or procedures.
