About The Position
We are looking to grow our Manufacturing Team at our Hurco headquarters in Indianapolis. As a Manufacturing Technician, you receive hands-on training on installing options and accessories for custom-configured CNC Machine Tools; and learn how to inspect, troubleshoot and repair machines. First-Shift Full-Time Position with World Class Benefits.
Requirements
- 2+ Years of Experience in Manufacturing Environment or Associates Degree
- Mechanical/Electrical aptitude preferred
Nice To Haves
- Previous forklift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Installs and tests machine options according verified procedures.
- Documents all mechanical defects and material discrepancies.
- Verifies and calibrates axis movement and ensures travel limits are correct according to specifications; makes adjustments when necessary.
- Verifies spindle drive runs at correct speed; adjust control and/or drive parameters if necessary.
- Verifies and records spindle retention force.
- Tests machine for specific functions to locate defects, measure performance and determine need for adjustments.
- Prepare machines for shipment, i.e. places machines on skids, wraps / covers machines with plastic/protective covering.
