About The Position

The Assembler is a position that proactively supports our Production Manager, Sales Directors and others. The following is a brief description of the responsibilities assigned but not limited to other duties as assigned: Inspect assembled and sub assembly products with use of a microscope. Bench top assembly of coated optics using adhesives and drawings for product assembly. Assemble electronic and optical devices and components Use basic electronic assembly tools, hand power equipment, and various electronic test equipment to perform troubleshooting, testing and repairs of electronic and optical equipment Ability to understand and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, prints, and bills of materials Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel &Word) Inspect and rework defective sub-assemblies. Meet a level of productivity as determined by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of microscope experience.
  • Valid driver's license, satisfactory drug testing and background check required.
  • High school graduate, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
  • Demonstrated success with maintaining quality control and data management.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technology, software, & professional practices.
  • Able to communicate updates and work-related progress to upper management both written and verbal.
  • Ability to pass preplacement physical.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years preferred microscope experience.
  • Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel &Word).
